Hi All,
Just as a "heads up," and/or friendly reminder, the Early American Banjo Gathering (Conference) will be June 22-24, 2012 at the same location as always, but wait! The barn has been cleaned out, so there is lots more room!! We still don't have a formal title for the conference yet, but feel free to needle Greg Adamsabout it, who is helping us coordinate it again this year... I'll be putting up a request for speaker proposals and a preliminary itinerary soon.
Happy Holidays,
Susan

And I!
I would love to make this. What is the same location as always? Is it Antietam? And are the rumors true that it's a big barn sleepover?
Ed, the great Antietam Early Banjo Gathering is held in and about the Pry House barn, the house of which was Gen'l McClellan's headquarters during the battle, and now houses the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, headed by George Wunderlich and Susan Rosenvold.
Camping is available on the grounds, and many of us do throw down a bedroll and sleep in the barn.
Please do come out, it is simply the last word in early banjo music and scholarship. We have a ball! Hope to see you there.
