Rose of Alabama
I was searching the Tulane sheet music and came across this version of "Rose of Alabama." Has anyone else seen this? It seems to be the original - and the minstrel version a parody.

Amazing!! And unless i'm mistaken, there are no references to anyone's race or color in it? Marked 1847, right Elaine? The lyrics are very lovely and romantic. Can't wait to hear you and John, and others here, play it from this sheet music version and hear the differences from what we all usually play and sing. A+++
