Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Made a road trip to the Bell Banjo factory Friday...  to pick up my Bell banjo kit, cannot wait to get working on it. But I have to wait a few more days so the skin head can finish drying and get set to the ring. I'll post some pictures as I get stated on it...

If you ever get a chance to go to the Bell Factory I suggest you do so...  Terry is an awesome host and fun to just chat with... over anything and everything...

I also took my Prust Banjo over to show Terry and see if he could work some magic on it get it paying better...  Will Magic you ask for Magic you get.  Reset and worked on the nut, reworked the tuning pegs... (in my best Terry Bell "they turn like Butter"), sanded the goat skin a little thinner, lower the action.. and put a Bell bridge on her...  The Old Gal came to life...

THANK YOU TERRY!

As soon as I get the Bell finished. The Prust goes on the block for sale...  So if anybody is looking or knows somebody that would like a reworked Prust banjo... Let me know.  She plays like a Tack head should play...  I'll get a picture or two of it post in the classifieds here soon...  Not that I want to sell the Prust.. But I can only try to play one Banjo at a time...
