How cool is that?! I love the idea of a bowed gourd instrument and Jeff does such a nice job on his gourdies...

I am thinking about coming down to Suwannee, come March, for your "African Roots" classes. Our local "Hyterical Association" has been enquiring about my 'banjo history' gig and I have been thinking about adding an Akonting to the lineup.

Gee, I never would have guessed that. I would have thought they would have worn it out at the local Ernest Tubb Memorial Jam Society.
