Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

SOLD- thanks!

I'm selling a very nice group of lightly used rhythm bones and learning DVD.

I don't want to break up this package of goodies...

Selling the whole batch, all together for $148  $120  plus $7 shipping.  Will ship via Priority Mail to continental U.S.

Included is:

1 pair Ox rib bones- one is 6  5/8" long, the other is 7" long- they work nicely together even though they are not a closely matched pair. See photos. Their width tapers from 7/8" to their widest of 1  1/4" at the biggest end.  Rib bones have a porous center and thus produce a slightly hollow tone as opposed to thinner/denser ox shin bones which have a higher click sound. Ox rib bones can be heard in these videos: https://youtu.be/iMokBr9cTxM  and  https://youtu.be/qor2ib8iXtg

1 pair Oak bones 7" long, 1  1/8" wide -slight checking that does not effect use or tone- see photo.

1 pair Ebony bones 7  1/4" long, 1' wide (slightly narrow width)

1 DVD by Lark in the Morning, "How to Play the Bones" with bones master Percy Danforth.  DVD played once.

The Oak and the Ebony bones have a nice arc curve, they are not flattish- see photos. Ebony and Ox bones are 'gourmet'- not so easy to find and pretty pricey.

-All told that's 3 pairs of bones and 1 DVD.

Paypal payment ONLY.   No returns.

Hi Strumelia,

I realize this listing is almost a year old, but are the bones still available?

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim, yes the deal is still available- I never did get around to putting them on Ebay.

I will send you a 'friend request' here, and if you 'accept' it then we can exchange private messages if you are interested.

Thanks!
