Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

The first song from a book that is new to me called "The Banjoist's Budget" by A. Baur, whose experience transcended the early stage of Stroke Banjo Style well into the Classical Fingerstyle way of playing.

Yeah, sounds good. I'll do it guitar style on the other channel, hopefully soon.

Cool. I posted two tabbed versions over on Rob's blog on the classic site. One is per Baur's fingering (or as close as I could determine) and the other is the way I would finger it (much more melodic). To me, Baur's version shouts "stroke/thimble" style.

I've now added it to the Ning CB site, along with the twisted Twisted Robe Jig - sorry, that should have read 'Twisted ROPE Jig'. Don't know why I wrote robe...
