Lotus Jig - Straight Time, Fretless Banjo

From Septimus Winner's New American School for the Banjo, 1883. Not very jig-like as written (and played here.) I prefer Ian Bell and Paul Draper's versions.

It's one of those tunes that only takes 10 minutes to learn but is just fun and pleasing to play over and over.

Love this tune. Almost hypnotic and very relaxing. Thanks for the tablature Andy. Always look forward to the tunes you post.

On second thought, it might be nice to have a Septimus Winner tab book. I really enjoy his melodies.
