John Diamond’s Walk Around, with a little bit of Buckley’s thrown in. Both from Rice, 1858.

Yes - I’ve never been able to play it exactly as written and make it sound good, so I settled for this simpler version. It will always be a mystery to me.
I wonder if Al plays this one.... Al, if you’re listening?
Not sure if you mean me, Paul. If so, I play "John Diamond's Walk Around" on banjo and have done so on fiddle but would probably need to practice it to revisit the bowing on the 'B' part to become more comfortable. I've never tried Buckley's, however. If you were not referring to me, then I will await, with interest, another "Al"'s response.
There’s only one Al I know.... good to hear from you.
I'd have to look at the music. Maybe I'll look at it today.
It's written in 'C' but it almost seems like that final 'F' in the run should be a 'F#". Do you two use the 'F' natural?
I guess I could go either way, so I suppose as written, then.
Hmm isn’t that final note a G?
Oops my mistake, yes F natural
Is it written correctly? I put it into MuseScore and ran over in the 3rd measure of the 'B' part. Shouldn't that last 8th note be a 16th?
