Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

In honor of Joel Sweeney, and the fact it sounds really good when played on this banjo (hopefully my video quality has improved and will relay this fact), I play the tune named for him from Buckley's New Banjo Method book, first published in 1860. This banjo is Jay Moschella's craft. I had to needle him to send it earlier than he would have liked, but he relented to my annoying little brother tactics. Gut strings.

Really nice groove you got goin' on there, Lucas. We're expecting great things out of you in the stroke-style scene. Looking forward to meeting up at EBG III.
