An investigation from Scotland Yard revealed some mistakes. I repost this one as the corrected version. Ever stared a piece right in the face and read it wrong anyway? Ha! That's what I did. This one comes from the Phil Rice Book of 1858, and the arrangement is credited to a young Frank Converse, whose career lasted into the end of the century. Funky, sublte, and subject to many interpretations. (PS...the title is correct now also).

LOL. Much better!

Now play Essence of Old Virginny from Converse's Analytical, page 70. It would be interesting to compare the two. [That's not an order, by the way!]
