It actually took longer to distress it than it did to paint and finish it (like William Boucher did). What do you think of the corroded brass? I brush vinegar on the brass parts and put them in a baggie with an ammonia rag and they 'age' right before your eyes.

Its beautiful. Actually, I've spent more time playing it then looking at it. ;)

The brass is great. I also liked the faux crack in the neck. Its good John pointed it out, or I might have been worried.

Su-weeeet, Lee!   -Now don't be afraid to smack right down on that head while you play- that's part of the fun on these more boisterous tunes!   :)

If I didn't have a wonderful distressed Bell Stichter already, I'd be so green (red?) with envy I'd be plotting something evil right now.
