Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

From the back of the Buckley 1860. Anybody else hear "Bibbity Bobbity Boo"? Either it was stolen, or the motif is in our collective conscious.

I do hear "Bibbity Bobbity Boo", but to say that it was stolen is like saying that Briggs stole the major diatonic scale (Briggs' Jig). Actually, you will also find "Bibbity Bobbity Boo" at the end of Essensce of Old Virginny. I guess it's one of those common musical phrases that are a cliche', like "shave and a haircut."

That is a complex little jig in spite of the cliche', and btw, you played it beautifully.

I'm finding snippets of all kinds of stuff, especially in Ryan's. I ran across "Leave It To Beaver" (the first part) the other day...think about it. Ha!
