This is one of two period inspired banjos I recently completed building, my first attempts at this type of banjo.  This one uses a paulonia neck with boxwood fingerboard and tack head.  The laminated rim is 0.21" thick.  It weighs two pounds

That tan and black 'mirrored triangle' design next to the circular black and white pot with its row of tack-dots is very handsome.  Reminds me a bit of African textile design.
