The skin on the right was soaked in tea and dye for 30 minutes.

What kind of tea: Earl Grey? English Breakfast? Darjeeling? What color dye?
Thank you,

In 'aging' paper or fabric for fine art work, I've found that (at least for me) most tea results in a hint of pinky-orange to the brown hue, which I don't like. When i use strong coffee instead of tea, the brown stays more pure and leans more towards a good plain umber brown. Just my own experience tho.
For banjo skin I've always used artists oil paints, real dirt, graphite, applied like a whisper.
