This is shaping up nicely. Did you make the hoop? That is the one thing that has eluded me. I'd love to see how you shaped it and are going to finish it. Are you planning on making a tack head, or are you going to go for a rim with hardware?

John, thanks! Jim Moffet made the hoop for me. It's really thin, so I am going to do some bracing. It's also a little out of round (which is good because I wanted it to look home made not bought), so I am going to make it a tack head.
