Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

This is a folding carpet gig chair I picked up yesterday at a local "junk" shop. Don't know anything about it except that it looks cool, is comfortable and folds. Upholstery material has been tacked over the original carpet, the underside of which I can see under the seat, but I haven't taken it apart to see what the carpet looks like. If anyone knows anything about this kind of chair, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Victorian folding chair, could be Eastlake style 1870s-1890s.
