Nicholas, I did :)  I was going for a PA German Motif as it's in my blood and the region I live in.

Very,..very nice. It really has an antique feel to it. So that was YOUR banjo that you made. Real nice...great tone!

Thanks Strumelia and Nicholas!  Yep, it was mine from a genuine Bell and Son kit!  Lots of fun to make and a really awesome feeling to hear it once completed.

This is really beautiful! Would you be willing to make something similar for sale?  I am looking for an ebony tailpiece for my old banjo.

HI Sarah, I'd be willing to carve a tailpiece and sell it.  I'd just need the tailpiece.  Terry Bell made mine, as it came with the kit he sells.  Maybe I should consider getting in the business of making the tailpiece AND carving them? hmmmm
