rather than being misunderstood , and having some one intrepret what I mean in a way I didnt 

 

 My post was directed at DanL  and his " I would add that for certain phrases in some of these tunes notation reliably brings the music to life in a way that "guess and by golly" noodling doesn't.

   I dont think everybody who doesnt play it exact to the tutors is playing guess and by golly.     

   I know were not supossed to call people out , and Im not,  I just dont want to be misunderstood

Chill, Steve.  You're not the first person to have a kerfluffle with Dan'l.  That's my bailiwick  ;^}

Just keep doin' what you're doin', brother.  Your videos are great.  Your playing is great.  You have a very personalized style, that has heavy doses of tutor-derived period licks and phrases.  We need guys like you out there fighting the good fight to keep this style alive and fresh.

All red-blooded banjo pickers gotta have a little tussle now and then to keep it real.
