Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Written by the Sr. Buckley....the father James. Way good song, balanced in its content like a beautiful little Bach piece. Total mix of fingerstyle and Stroke.

Nice job Tim,
Tonawanda is my home town. It sits at the point where the Erie Canal meets the Niagara River Near the US/Canada border. Ian Bell probably has heard of it.

Indeed -in the old days a lot of schooners and barges made their way from Long Point and Port Dover to Tonawanda and the Erie Canal. Just last night I sang a song called the Jennie P. King about a timber schooner from Tonawanda that sank near Long Point, and there were actually some Tonawandans in the audience. More immediately - as a kid within range of Channel 7 in Buffalo I also grew up enthralled with Eywitness News stories of "Another Fire In Tonawanda". So, James - I guess we probably both have fond memories of Commader Tom and Rocketship Seven - but that's material for another net web.
