My internet connection is very slow today, and this video doesn't seem to be working. If it's not working for you, click on the image again and it will take you to the youtube page, where it is working for me. Otherwise, stay tuned!
Two debuts - my wife pretending she is making a Celtic pop video, and my new banjo.
The tuning is meant to be f#F#EG#B - but I am a tone lower.

Congrats on the new instrument. Good?? Guess were cousins or something now, eh? (I thought it was just a slow song.)

What is "The 5 Stringer"?
Comment by Rob MacKillop on September 29, 2010 at 9:44am
I'm surprised, Tim. It is the newsletter of the American Banjo Fraternity. The author is Elias Kaufman, and he says the publication (which I'd love to get my hands on - and I'm sure you would too) has 96 pages, with pieces in both stroke and fingerstyle, but mostly the latter. It's called The Banjoist.
If anyone has a copy - PLEASE scan it!

Don't look at me, I've never heard of "The Banjoist". I'll keep an eye out though! ;-)

Amazing bottom end! Sounds great.

Very neat. I like the use of the low drone in this piece. The cinematography was properly dark and foreboding. Too bad there is such an huge VAT on sunlight...I'd send y'all some! ;-)
