Phil Isaac's Jig
Not a banjo tune, but it became one. It is in the Buckley 1860 book, and appears exactly the same in Ryan's Mammoth Collection of fiddle tunes. What makes it a banjo classic?....just because it works....and somebody says so.

I'd say so too. Does that ever sound good on the banjo! I've heard Irish players doing that one. Nice playing.
