Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

From the Converse Analytical. Worth looking at for it's use of the "Strike" or "Combination", used on the weak beats of the phrase. Using the technique as directed, it provides great insight into the true feel of early "Stroke Style" play. No random matter that he placed it first after the combination Exercises in the book. PLyed fast, and then slow, so you can see the "planting" of the hand.

So many ways to draw the notes of a tune out, isn't there?

Indeed. Very interested in the historical aspects....but find myself 'playing by ear' with fingers plucking, stroking, and claw hammering in no particular order of priority ...
