He took banjo lessons from Converse before the war and later served in a Mississippi Infantry regiment. He and Converse enjoyed a warm correspondence many tears later.

Butler's - ???? - Bee Gum Reel - Some Famous March? - Fisher's Hornpipe - Hmm, I'm not batting so well  - -  better sign up for some more courses at Briggs' College

Butler's is acceptable, but I call mine "Old 76", ????=Briggs' Reel, Bee Gum is right, then it's "Alabama Joe" and "Darkey Fisher's Hornpipe" from Briggs'.
