I think this one is as much about playing legato as it is using a tie for the full length. The decay on a (fretless) banjo is so quick, that it is a not even an issue. One can, however, attempt to lengthen each note and make them touch each other. Still, the banjo is a "plucky" and percussive sound...gotta celebrate it, rather than try to change it. Perhaps someone has better luck on a fretted with this one.

Bravo!

I am ashamed to admit that I played through it just a few times then went on to the next lesson. While pretty, I don't see it as a keeper for me. The lesson on ties was understood, so I got the point.

You play it beautifully.

Carl does a great job on it with the raised frets.

Now I'm off to work on my (finger) gymnastics. ; )
