This tune is definitely not a solid “stroke style” minstrel type, Rob. It uses a lot of thumb; even with pull offs. The dotted eighths also add to the difficulty in establishing a solid rhythm. I found it hard to maintain a good drive without the wheels coming off...
Exactly, same here. I felt really solid on some of the phrases, but some others just threw a wrench into things. It just seems disjointed to me.
