Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

From the Buckley Banjo Book of 1860. It's source is found in Ryan's as "Lardner's Reel". A few phrases are changed, as in the "B" section, using some banjo motifs found in the Bacchus' material. Although no tempo markings are given, the nature of the banjo dictates a limited amount of speed before it just sounds a little ridiculous...at least in my experience.

I dig this one. Very fiddle-tune like, with the drive, and just a touch of the minstrel syncopation.
