Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Sometimes you have to love a tune just for the title. I found this one tonight in Kerr's Vol 1. The key change was my own idea. Other than that..straight from the fiddle book.

Wes, I heard the line, "Kafoozalum Kafoozalum - the harlot of Jeroozalum" from my MOTHER, when I was a child, but that was all of it I ever heard. Thanks to your link I'm now feel more educated - not to mention shocked and appalled. Always something worthwhile at the Minstrel Banjo forum!

My Mother too would sing bits and pieces of songs from her childhood, among them a version of Keemo Kimo, The Old Grey Mare went Pfffft (sound commonly know as the raspberry) on the singletree, and Why do they Call me Snowball, When snowball ain't my name.
