Minstrel Banjo

I think I've seen the title somehere else. This short tune unleases several of the Minstrel "licks" in a quick barrage that somehow makes sense.

Clarke Buehling has recorded this one. He used a trumpet on it, gave it a very jaunty feel. Joe Murphy was very active in California in the 1850's, 60's and 70's. He worked in San Francisco with Jake Wallace for a time.
