From the Elias Howe Collection Ian posted. From the page with several "Essences" on it. Played as is, in briggsthink. It actually has tempo mark, and a few dynamic markings...so this is "slow".

Curious little tune. Nice to hear the gourd (It's Canadian Thanksgiving so it's a good day for gourds) Those four "essences" in the Howe book all appear on page 24 of Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (aka Ryan's Mammoth)
They're even in the same order.
