Neil Grey's Banjo Method

Courtesy of member Nicholas Bechtel, there is yet another book to examine. I am posting one piece from it this morning and let him tell you a bit more about it, if you are curious. I have only seen a few pages of it. It is geared toward fingerstyle, but as usual...much adapts to rappin it.

I happen to win this book on ebay, "Neil Grey's New Banjo Method" 1894. I have been unsuccessful finding anything out about Neil Grey.

Here are a few random pages.  Tim has brought one of the tunes to life, "Minstrel Boy Clog". I will be trying to get this properly scanned and possibly have it posted here or on Banjo Clubhouse.

Here's another E-bay auction for something called "New Banjo School Simplified Method" from 1884.

It comes at a rather onerous price, however.

Sorry this is taking me so long to get some of this posted. For some reason, and I may be a little backward when it comes to manipulating files for downloading or sharing, but when I attached the pdf which has some sample pages from the Book, it isn't readable. And I have not had the time to figure out what is up. I got this book for nothing,...which really surprised me. Except for the binding being fragile the rest of the book is in really great shape. Tim Twiss did a great job doing one of the songs from the book"Minstrel Boy Clog".  What took him a night to figure out will take me about a month with diligent practicing,..in time though. I will work on this tomorrow or the next day. It would be great to get all theses books in pdf form for other people to look at.
