Michael Bean has not received any gifts yet
Michael Bean is a Music Education student at Eastern Michigan University. A guitar principle, Michael focuses his playing on Baroque and Renaissance Period music and technique with a special interest in pieces written for the Lute and Vihuela.
Aside from the guitar, Michael also focuses his attention toward studies in the banjo, mandolin, violin, upright and electric bass, Bb clarinet, and piano. When he is not studying these instruments, he is jamming with local musicians at open mics, house concerts and even LARP events. He has recorded with Walk Your Bike on their 2nd and 3rd albums and has recorded with other local artists for small side projects. Aside from private lessons through Alien Abduction Studios, Michael also teaches group guitar and rhythm classes for 3+ year olds at the Ypsilanti Township Community Center.
Michael focuses much of his time arranging music for various ensembles. His latest works have included a clarinet choir arrangement of The Beatles' Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, When You Say Nothing at All for a woodwind quintet, and a sacred piece, First Word for small wind ensemble with piano. His first work was a concert band arrangement of While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles.
Michael currently teaches for Community Records, L3C of Ypsilanti, MI, Alien Abduction Studios of Saline, MI, & Ypsilanti Township's Recreation Department of Ypsilanti, MI.
