Boucher wood graining?

I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on the method or technique used to apply the fake wood grain finish on Boucher banjos. I would like to try to imitate it on a future build.Continue

I am sure a number of us would be interested in seeing your home made banjo. As you know, there some of us building reproductions and restorering old banjos, fretless and fretted. And just about all members are interested in your homebuilt, and your interest in old time music.
