Looks really nice. Good job.  What size is the gourd?

Hi Dena,  your gourd banjo looks beautiful. Have a great time playing it. Must get myself one from somewhere especially now that lessons are going to be available.

Sylvia.  Check out Jeff Menzies.  You can do a workshop and make your own.  http://www.jeffreymenzies.com/news

Hi Dena,  I'm in England, UK ( and don't fly ) so couldn't get to a workshop.   However have just checked out Jeff's website and once the summer is over just might contact him to make a minstrel banjo for me.

BTW Looking forward to hearing you play your new gourd banjo.

I thought you were in UK.  He is a great guy.  Many on the site know him.  If you tell him what you want, he will likely make it and ship it to you.  He is on this forum.  So I'll tell him about our conversation.

Hope to meet one day.

Hi Dena, I am new to this new found universe of Early American Banjo. That is a beautiful Gourd Banjo, hopefully you will share a video, I would love to hear how it sounds.

Definitely inspirational!

Thanks, Nicholas.  Welcome.  I will take your suggestion.  Look for a video over the next week.
