Not to speak of. Its solid wood with Victorian upholstery lining. It wouldfn't trust checking it, but its small enough to carry on a plane. I imagine he could make a padded one to order.

I had mine done with felt. not period...but cushions it a bit

I agree about the LH end if it. HOwever, I did want a case to protect my investment, and this is a beautiful period piece. When I do bring the gourd with me, I won't be concerned with theneed to hide a modern case.

Yea, I just never found a good way to carry a gourd around. This solves it.
