This immediate antebellum painting of the Sweeney Family orchard shows the still standing Charles Sweeney cabin to the far right. To the left & center is perhaps the long gone homeplace of brothers Joel, Richard & Sam Sweeney along with their sisters (who were also known to play banjo locally) Elizabeth & Missouri ("Miss Zoo.")
To the far left is the village of Appomattox Court House.
