FLUSH-FRET MYSTERY BANJO 1

This flush fret instrument is available via Craigslist - not too far away from me, for not a lot of money ($125) Anyone care to venture an opinion about what it might be? I wondered if it was a Buckbee. It looks like there may have been a fifth string peg in the head. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks
