The English did not put dates on their publications, so... ??? Perhaps late 90s-teens. Marc owns it, he might know.

Excuse my ignorance, but how does this fit into the Classic banjo canon? I find that material falling in between styles and times to be fascinating.

I don't know, perhaps pull the strings, strike the strings?  Ellis claimed to have published over 500 pieces that he stole from American banjo publications.  Sometimes he changed the name, called himself "arranger,"  or flat out claimed it for himself.

I find the same old stuff published time and time again.  Check out the Eclipse Banjo Method on my site, filled with the same old stuff.

Joel, would you mind laying that one down on your fretted banjo? It would be cool to contrast the the tune.....showing how flexible the hornpipe type stuff is. It's an easy read.
