I finally scanned and cropped my stereoview in a way that you can see the banjo player in close-up. Hopefully, you can see the lyre-shaped peghead. Very nice early banjo!

Hi, Dan'l. It looked to me like he was holding a whiskey bottle between his legs. But after your comment I'm not so sure. Anyway, the whole photo looks posed, as if the photographer asked the men to show what camp life looked like.
By the way, this would be a nice banjo for a modern builder to recreate. I like the lyre-shaped or double scroll-shaped peghead.
