beautiful work John. You've got me picturing my Sweeney in a case that fine now! I really like the lining as well, good use of the illustrated sections.

Very nice!  Is that cork on the bottom and sides?

That is cork on the bottom and sides.  I wanted a little padding, and cork seemed like a good period solution.

Yes, a good idea!  A coffin case is on my endless list of projects, and I had been puzzling over what to do about padding.

On the bottom is the 1/8" cork roll.  on the sides, and in the neck cradle are 1/4 inch cork tile.
