Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I recently acquired a ratty piece of sheet music for a melody called the "Verbena Waltz."  It was published by G. Willig in Baltimore in 1857.  It is dedicated to "Miss Magdalena A. O'Brien."  Its most interesting feature, of course, is that its composer is given as W. Boucher, Jr.

The melody is scored for piano (I've attached links to the three pages), but it would be fun to find out what it sounds like on the banjo.  Anyone up for a challenge?  Bob
