"Slave Banjo"

Did anybody see the email for Lark In The Morning? They had a "Slave Banjo" in the closeout section. It was a crude looking 4 string instrument (3 strings and a thumb), a skin covered gourd shaped more like a hoop than a round gourd. It was gone by the time I got to them. Thier importing arm is quite long, so I don't know where it came from, or how playable it was. For anyone doing a historical presentaion, it looked like it would have been a great piece for a program.I'll try to add the picture.
