I've got a copy of a Christy's Songster from 1863 that I got from Brown University. It's just lyrics to songs, some familiar, most not, and assorted jokes. There are many, many of these old songsters available from places like Brown. It's interesting to see the differences and similarities between the different minstrel troupes.
That's where I got the lyrics to "Money am a Hard Thing to Borrow."
