Pretty cool that there'd still be enough documentation to do this --
In 1968 I spent the summer at the Seminar for Historical Administrators (now conducted at Conner Prairie history park in Indiana, but it was at CW for many years). One of the class assignments was a competition for caption writing, in which everyone had to pick an object from the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Collection and caption it for exhibition. I picked this painting, and my caption won the prize -- a big picture book of objects in that museum (with captions). Kind of like the cheat-sheet for the exam I had just passed.
Dang, that was 42 years ago. I wonder what I said.
