Event Description

This exibition of approximately 30 banjos and related items focuses on African roots, reproductions of slave instruments,  banjos entering the main stream culture and ends with early factory made instruments.  A wordbench is set up in the center of the exhibit and visitors can watch as gourd and grain measure banjos are being built. The exhibit is open Wednesday through Saturday each week.
