For enthusiasts of early banjo
From A. Baur's Banjoist's Budget, 1883.
Nice job Paul.
Baur is SO original. And traditional.....and supports the idea that Briggs' book actually sounded like how some people played back then.
Not sure I follow...
There is a quote......I will dig to find it. Baur was saying that "the Briggs' book gives a very good idea of how the banjo was played" back then. I think it was in a Stewart Journal.
But, Baur has all these wild and creative things...Electric Light Reel etc., and then some fairly straight ahead stuff. I think that book is just peachy.
Volume IV no. 8 1888
Ah yes, I've got it. Thanks.
Nicely played. It's an interesting tune!
Nice job! And great tone! How big is the shell?
Thanks. Approx. 13"
Paul I'm having a banjo built..its 13" inch also...so for me it was sure nice to hear what it might sound like!!!
