Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

One of the oldest Minstrel tunes in the book. It has roots in English folk tradition. I'm not not claiming this to be a Minstrel type reproduction, but rather my own interpretation.

Great rendition - can't get it out of my head!

Your gourd banjo seems to have a clearer sound than many. Anything unique about it as I plan to start building one with my granddaughter soon?

Thanks. Jay Moschella did great work on it, including the nice head tension. Also it is tuned up to concert "E".

Seven up is also called All Fours or Old Sledge, a great game and very popular throughout the mid to late 19th century. It is a "trump" game. As a side, it is a very common mistake in gambling history books to assume that Seven Up is another name for Craps (a 20th century dice game despite the fact that people wish it was earlier).
