Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Getting to know this new little 19th Century Guitar a bit better. I'm guessing 1870, but it my be earlier. Still researching it. Anyway, I chose this familiar Foster tune. The accompaniment and melody is actually pretty squared off like this when you look at the original music. It tends to almost have a shuffle feel to it in many modern interpretations.

Thanks. I'm working on some from the Howe's Guitar book. "Baden Polka" is the one I am looking at. Can't just breeze through it...I need to work it up.
