What a great time! Thanks for letting me come hang out!

P.S. While the video above is good, it was much more impressive in person....so many minstrels in one room....
Looks like a great time... Need to get something like this together in New England!
Terry, I'm about a week late in posting this, but I wanted to thank you and your family for hosting this event. This was my first opportunity to see and hear minstrel style banjos in person. I was impressed with the volume and the tone produced. Pretty much all of the banjos I saw that evening are works of art as well as being fine musical instruments. I particularly enjoyed the story behind Ryans banjo. It would be cool to be able to make music on an instrument made from wood from a tree that used to grow on your families property. Anyway, Thanks again to you for your hospitality, and to everyone there that took the time to answer all of my questions!
Thanks for coming, Mike. Adam and you were a nice surprise, that is, guys that are budding minstrels. In the area beween Midland and Detroit there are almost 10 players that I can think of. That's pretty good. I'm gonna have a new class at the Midland Folk Festival this year in August - Minstrel Banjo. Hope you can come. Keep in touch.
