It is reversed. John's left-handed and that's a left-handed Sweeney banjo - just like the original.

Oh, I didn't realize John was left handed!  Perfect then!   lol!

That explains the ring on the right hand too.   :)

 I love it,  were you wearing some of your home sewn clothes? You both look fanstastic, and just like a true period photo.

Don't I know it Steve.  Yes, with a couple of small exceptions (Hat & shoes), all of our clothing was made by hand.  Elaine did the most of the work, and my daughter made my vest.
