Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

This banjo was built on a very large canteen gourd. Larger gourds tend to have thinner shells, and this one was no exception. In order to reinforce it, a thick layer of resin was added to the inside of the shell. The result is a stronger, heavier banjo that projects more sound.
